Middle part was lots of dubby minimal rollers, leaning towards tech. Liquid Lovers Lounge (EP80|NOV26|2022)

Sometimes I feel like I want to change up the way I approach LLL as a way to keep things interesting for both the listeners and myself. I went on a deep dive into my DNB collection for tunes that fell through the cracks, but also just music that I like but for some reason was never able to fit into the mix. Armed with my newly refreshed playlists I was able to coast pretty easily through a pretty interesting first hour. Lots of atmospheric and deep beats, some jazzy stuff and lush orchestral sounding things. Midway through I move into some chunky amens and jungle type sounds before moving things into more familiar territory for me. Dirty minimal tech rollers and other darker fare in the second hour. Old and new LLL regulars were repping, and we even made a few new friends. Great vibe in the chat as per usual. Big up all crew.

Liquid Lovers Lounge (EP81|DEC03|2022)

The last couple of LLL sessions have mostly been focused on more organic liquid sounds and selections with a touch of atmospheric and jungle. This week we're back with a slightly tougher edge, maybe a bit more dancefloor-oriented at times. Starts off meditative but energy ramps up pretty quick into liquid dancefloor rollers, some synth heavy numbers about halfway, into more minimal tech fare and bass heavy rollers in the 2nd hour. Some uplifting rollers at the end round out this session.

Fun sesh with the homies as always. Not as many people in the chat, but judging from the stat numbers it still looked like quite a few people were logged in and lurking. D:RC came up DJing (mostly drum'nbass) in the mid-90s while attending the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. As founding member of the local Phungus, Playtheavy and Sleuth Empire crews he found himself at the center of a burgeoning rave scene, collaborating with friends on dance music events in the Athens/Atlanta areas and beyond.

In 2004 he founded Studio:Machina, a graphic design practice geared towards the music industry. Building on his behind the scenes expertise and keen artistic instincts he's become an in-demand contributor on artistic projects in a variety of media. He's toured the US as member of the Smookie Illson bass music trio, serves as creative director for the Chicago-based Illeven:Eleven Recordings label and functions as brand/art director of several nightlife concepts. 

Behind the decks he currently heavily favors the sounds of DNB, but brief forays into breakbeat, house, UK Garage + Bass and dubstep are not uncommon. Get to know.
