Based in Los Angeles, hailing from the late 90's east coast rave scene, @FriskieBusiness has been pushing the funk sound for almost two decades. Los Angeles based producer Nick Alvarado and vocalist EVeryman have teamed to form Little Giants, who aim to make proper hip-hop music for your mind, body and soul. Pairing inspired, thought-provoking lyrics set over crisp, funky beats, the sounds of Little Giants harken back to the golden era of hip-hop. This release commemorates the memory of Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado, who touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away on March 25th 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on.

To honor his memory, Nick's best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan 'Everyman' Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy.

We now welcome back to the label our Argentinian star and uprising talented producer 'Alexny' with a brand new 4 tracker EP digging deep into a vast variety of musical roots adding a modern touch to it. To open this incredible journey 'I Believe' comes in the form of a classic disco cut with a housey drum ensemble and fresh guitar riffs attached to the groove making it perfect as an opener track for any occasion. For our second stop 'Diggin' Roots' arrives with an exceptional funky groove, cheerful vocals and outstanding flute solos bringing us back to the 70s. Right next to it 'Tamanqueiro' takes us all the way to South America with an exotic Brazilian-boogie blend consisting in traditional cuicas and congas for the rhythm section. To finish this incredible trip we cross the Atlantic Ocean all the way to Cameroon with 'Sekele Movement' as a tribute to the funk master Pasteur Lappe. Enjoy !!
