Opening the compilation, Dubai's premiere female duo Jenn Getz & Alfie unveil 'NO!', followed by two longstanding house experts, producer Danny J Lewis and vocalist Amber Jolene with 'Some People'. 

Incorrect Music label boss Anthony Attalla reveals tech house smash 'Forget Us' as Ibiza and Data Transmission Radio resident Charlotte Moss releases 'Use Me'. 

International duo Reza & Kroose collaborate for 'All Again', as East London DJ and music producer Smasher reveal's new track Drum Snap. Closing out the compilation, ACID HARRY's eclectic underground sound pervades 'The Music' before Spanish-born and London underground favourite Bear Winder lets us 'Breathe'.

Hannah Wants unveils Ghetto EP on DFTD, a return to her edgier, bass-heavy roots with two distinct tracks designed for the club. Hannah’s trajectory throughout 2023 was signposted by performances at flagship events including Defected Croatia, Defected’s Australasian Tour and The Warehouse Project. In 2024, her collaboration with Sam Divine and Jem Cooke, ‘Cruel Intentions’, kicked off the year before Hannah appeared on the ambitious livestream celebrating 25 years of Defected with 25 titan DJs playing B2B in 2024. After a string of releases showcasing her more emotive side on the London house label, Hannah Wants now returns to the bass house sound she helmed for over a decade, releasing Ghetto EP on sister label DFTD. The first of two deeper, headsier cuts, ‘Ghetto’ offers relentless club energy, with deep, percussive synths that hammer away underneath expressive audio sampling. ‘Let The Beat Talk’ follows, featuring frequent Plump Records collaborator Baby Luck on cool vocals, with its hard and tough sound shaking the floor as high frequency synths bubble overhead.

The Deepshakerz, Turntables Night Fever - Oh Phunk [Fool's Paradise]

We cannot underestimate Amsterdam's influence over the deeper side of house music. Artists like Chris Stussy, Prunk and Kolter have undeniably influenced the more musical, melodic side of a genre that was becoming increasingly tech-focussed. With his latest release on White Label Amsterdam (where he hangs out with underground trailblazers like Ann & Dantiez Saunderson) and this wicked single for us, Low Blow is well on the way to joining his esteemed fellow Dutch producers. Cool Rhodes chords lead the way for a brilliantly bumping bassline, and some killer New Jersey drums, all topped off with floor-friendly spoken word play—a proper jam.
