Two A-list artists that topped the Billboard charts for numerous times already needed a remix for their new collaboration ‘Papi’, and resultantly the young and promising talent D-wayne was asked to do a remix for them.

Smash The House regular D-wayne returns to release another banger via sister label Generation Smash, teaming up with Gwise for ‘Waste No Time’. D-wayne has enjoyed a fruitful time on the release front over the past couple of years, with releases appearing on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak and Spinnin’, as well as regular releases on Smash The House, and this debut collaboration from the pair is a match made in heaven, with an impressive combination of electronic sounds and urban flavours, set to further propel both artists’ careers. 

An imposing rap vocal appears from the start, pushing the track forwards and providing the intensity in the beginning, as Gwise and D-wayne’s impressive production capabilities are brought to the fore early on, as a gliding lead sits atop a pounding kick drum, and ensures the track strikes a fine balance. War drums in the main breakdown give the track are in keeping with the track’s ominous nature, and cement ‘Waste No Time’ as a certified dancefloor destroyer.

Amsterdam, June 10th, 2013 - The young DJ / Producer talent D-wayne, who recently signed with Afrojack's 'Wall Recordings' is asked to remix the hit single 'As Your Friend': the collaboration between Afrojack and popular R&B singer Chris Brown.

“As Your Friend" is not the first collaboration for Afrojack, who has been coaching his protégé D-wayne ever since he signed him to his label ‘Wall Recordings’. Afrojack has already worked with artists such as Bobby Burns, The Partysquad, Steve Aoki, Nervo, Pitbull and Ne-Yo.

D-wayne, born Dwayne Megens, has a very strong sense of rhythm and exceptional sense and awareness of music ever since his childhood. In 2008, the career of D-wayne started with his first appearance at a major event with an audience of more than a thousand people. This occasion was immediately his chance to show what talent he mastered, it soon became clear that D-wayne had developed an unusual talent for deejaying. With his extremely high degree of musical maturity D-wayne gets more exposure year after year and now he is a big name at in-and outdoor festivals and major events both at home and abroad. His summer tour includes gigs at Tomorrowland and XOLive.

Take an X-ray of D-wayne and you will probably not see any bones
or tendons but two meters zest for work, ambition and drive. As if he was carrying a jetpack on his back his career has taken off with lightning speed and there’s no stopping him.

After D-wayne his unique skills and DJ capabilities became noticed he has performed at major festivals such as Tomorrowland, EDC New York, Storm Festival China, Ultra Music Festival, Paradiso Festival USA, Sziget Festival, whilst also playing in famous DJMAG listed clubs all over the world such as Ushuaia Ibiza, Omnia Las Vegas, Pacha, Green Valley Brazil, Webster Hall New York, One Third Beijing, Cubic Macau and Skygarden Bali amongst many others. 

With this prestigious list of achievements under his belt, it is no doubt D-wayne will rise to the top of the Dance Music industry within short lengths of time. With a great batch of unreleased music and big collaborations coming up, 2020 is set to be a very big year for the youngster.
