D-White Noise rejoins Me Mood Music for this very special release.  

Looking to the past and the glory days of 1988 when Acid House ruled the clubs. Using sounds commonly associated with those days of hypnotic pulsating beats and rhythms like 808's and 303's but this time with a definite, more modern electronic feel.

Track 1 - 'Take Me Back to 88' is all 808 and 303 with and will make you feel like you're back in the glory days of House.

Track 2 - 'Worthless' borrows from the sound of 1988 and combines it with elements of heavy crashing 90's Belgium House beats and modern house hooks that will certainly leave you buzzing.

Track 3 - 'The Long Haul' is a definite grower, hypnotically building from simple beats, a riding 303 bassline and peaceful synth into a more driving Progressive Techno track.

Track 4 - 'Take Me Back to 88 (Video Version)' contains all the elements of Track 1 but for those who prefer, at a slightly slower pace.

Hot on the heels of the huge 'Take Me Back to 88' taken from the '88' ep D-White Noise again delves into the past with a distinctly retro acid vibe. 

This 3 tracker contains the original extended mix, a simplified shorter edit and a special bonus treat.

Track 1 - 'Beats & Bacon (Original Mix)' - after a sublime 303 and 808 intro the track slowly builds dropping in some sweet string pads and smooth synth undertones. It progressively builds up to the acid breakdown before once again growing as it winds its way towards the final corrosive outro, but not before implanting itself deeply into your brain.

Track 2 - 'Happy Birthday (Original Mix)' - a special bonus track.  Initially recorded on the producers' birthday, a ritual which is performed every year but these gems rarely see a release.  With the foundations laid during his current 303 experimentation period the track fits perfectly within this ep.  Starting with a simple but rhythmic pounding beat and soothing pad layers before the deeply addictive 303 bass line rises and falls with hypnotic precision as the synth hits punch into the mix. Complementing layers lift the gears while maintaining the acid waves as the track drives to the end. 

Track 3 - 'Beats & Bacon (Edit)' - much like the original this shortened version slowly builds but with reduced synth layers, concentrating much more on the beats/ acid/ strings combo. But don’t be fooled by the title, this edit packs punch.

With a second release in quick succession D-White Noise continues the acid techno vibe for this three tracker.  The lead track, with its beautiful retro feel, is coupled here with 2 epic versions of the AA side.

Track 1 - 'Woken (Original Mix)' - If 80's synth pop had an acid techno older brother it might sound like this, but with that D-White Noise twist.  At times sounding like a recent 80's themed supernatural TV series there’s something about this track that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy.  You'll find yourself reminiscing those past sounds or at least wishing you were old enough to grow up in that period.  A typical 4 x 4 underlying beat layered with an almost breaks kick percussion is driven by a deeply engaging acid bassline, punctuated with beautiful sounding dreamy synths which all culminate to give this track its warm but hypnotic feel.

Track 2 - 'I Asked But No One Answered (Acid Dream Mix)' - This epic track will literally transport you 9 minutes into the future.  You will become lost within as time passes without even noticing.  Deep warm soothing pads draw you in before the 303 acid bassline and 808 kick takes over carrying you through a deeply enjoyable hypnotic journey.

Track 3 - 'I Asked But No One Answered (Dream Mix)' - Imagine the Acid Dream Mix without the acid.  Welcome to the Dream Mix.  An even dreamier, less layered, journey giving a different taste of this time crunching track.  The end result, an almost ambient techno sound with the luscious synths much more prominent than those in the main mix.

A ep with 2 traditionally key AA sided tracks, each with its own alternative mix.  Both built on a similar foundation of that familiar 808 kick and percussion. But that’s where the familiarity ends.

Track 1 - OAO (Original Mix)' - Simply 'OAO' would be a great description of this tracks minimal, limited layer, techno construction.   With a vocal synth at the core its simplicity is key, because when the squeaking throbbing bass drops, you know it. 

Track 2 - OAO (The Alternative Mix)' - Reworking the original D-White Noise delivers a pushier more complex alternative to the original which reduces the simplicity but adds a big dash of electro. 

Track 3 - 'Ignorance (Original Mix)' - 808 kick and punchy snare coupled with some deep sub bass (aka the parents) controlling the pace, whilst the beautifully warm pitch changing electro lead acts like the risk taking teen, lifting the mood to another level.

Track 4 - 'Ignorance (The Alternative Mix)' - Whilst the original was a product of controlling parents, the alternative lets the kids go crazy.  Twisting the original with a slice of added madness.  New sweet, but warm pitch changing electro layers add a different pace and much more excitable mood.

Each ep will contain 3 tracks, each driven by a TB303 core.

'A 303' was an instantly recognisable sound of the late 80's, when House music started to rise from Chicago.  It’s a sound the UK took to heart, elevating it from the underground.  Acid as it was known, was loved from the 1st moment it touched D-White Noise's ears.  It was a sound used heavily in the acid club nights in 88, a very exciting time in the history of House. It was a sound he very much wanted to experiment with. Now you get to hear the results.

Track 1 - A New Experiment (Original Mix)' - Signaling its intention right from the start.  Heavy kick driven, its a dreamy 303 layered hypnotic feast.  It will entrance you right to its infectious smooth pad crescendo.
'A New Experiment' describes how D-White Noise approaches each production. Trying and experimenting with new sound combinations without the slightest idea how each will turn out.

Track 2 - Graveyard (Original Mix)' - Graveyard, aptly named from the horror theme running throughout the track.  Spooky from its intro, the driving 303 acid bassline is underpinned with an eerie pad, which gives this track its sinister subtext.

'A Little Different' 

Production with the philosophy 'there are no rules'. Always 'a little different' Progressive, House, Trance, Electro, Techno & Deep.  Crossing and mixing just about every house genre possible. Originally from UK, Stanley near Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to be exact, now calls Adelaide, South Australia home.  David, the sole member of D-White Noise, grew up in early 80's with electronic pop and was entranced by the sounds of the analogue synths of the time. Then came the musical addiction brought by the infancy of house music from Chicago and techno from Detroit. 88 was the defining year though for influences, with Acid house and theTB 303.  Now that was a year.  This was the era that influenced the huge 'Take Me Back To 88'.  Before this, many experiments before 'Wide Awake but Asleep', specifically the remix by the late Lukas Greenberg, was unleashed in 2006.  The 1st official release thanks to Cobalt recordings, from the birthplace of House.  WABA played by many notable DJ'S of the time, making no 1 on the playlists of some, received many radio plays and made the top 50 Beatport chart.  Many releaes followed, often with a D-White Noise unique style, with a few notable and massive exceptions. 

New aliases have emerged like Me Mood, RB10 and snailHam but D-White Noise is still at the core. 

2023 though, brings change.  A return to the analog sounds and instruments of the  80's.  Deeper, warmer and lovingly crafted.
