Mountains are different. They trained themselves. Restrained their senses. Know their limits. Did the work when nobody was watching. When that same storm hits? They don't move. Not an inch.

The question is: What kind of roof you got?

The Buddha dropped this metaphor 2,500 years ago, and it hits just as hard today. Your mind is a house. An undeveloped mind is like bad thatch—every rainstorm floods you. But a well-cultivated mind? Tight roof. The rain still falls, but you stay dry inside.

This isn't about avoiding life's storms. It's about doing the work NOW—while the sun is out—so when the rain comes (and it WILL come), you're ready.

Do the work. Fix your roof.

...But here's the thing:

After saving all those beings?
*Not a single one was saved.*

Wait—what?

That's the paradox at the heart of the Bodhisattva path. You do everything, give everything, pour yourself out completely—but you can't claim it. Can't hold onto "I helped them." Can't believe you're somebody special.

Because if you think you're the savior, you missed the whole point.

There's no you. There's no them. No liberation as a thing.
Just the doing. Just the loving. Just the freedom that you bring.

The Buddha said the wicked lament here AND after. Why? Because when they look at their own deeds, they see the stain. That stain doesn't wash out. It follows them. 3 AM, wide awake, waiting for a dawn that doesn't bring peace.

But the righteous? They rejoice in both worlds. Not because they're rewarded—because when they look at their life, they see no stain. They close their eyes in peace. They sleep at night.

This isn't about heaven and hell. This is about the mirror you can't look away from.
