Coming from Madrid, Spain, this DJ's journey started in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, where he mostly picked up DJing as a way to keep busy. After a brief pause due to work commitments, he fully returned to the decks in 2022 where he continues to play shows in the VR Community at venues like Dali, Contain, Refuge, Black Market, Club Kebab, Project Vertigo, and Simplicity. 

Electronic Music has always been appreciated in his family, as many of his relatives grew up during the Ruta del Bakalao era in Spain - a huge cultural movement during the 80s and 90s centered around electronic music and the clubbing scene in Valencia. 

During his childhood, his uncle would show him all of his vintage DJ gear and Vinyl collections from his time as a DJ in that era, which ignited a passion in him that never faded as he grew older. He began learning how to mix and adopted a more modern sound than what was typically played. 

Genres like Techno, Club, Electro, and Baile are his favorite to spin, and he loves blending different styles and experimenting with transitions between genres in his sets to shift the energy of the crowd. No matter what, though, he always aims to keep a high-energy rhythm and make people dance. 

Besides electronic music, he loves listening to Hip Hop, and music from the '80s 90's, and early 2000s. He told me if he had to highlight two specific favorites, it would be Hotel California by the Eagles, and Shook Ones Pt. II by Mobb Deep. 

His DJ Alias originated as a nickname he came up with during his first experiences in the online world over 10 years ago, and it's stuck ever since. 

What he's brought for y'all today is a mix inspired by the evolutions he's gone through as an artist. At first, it was rare to see him mix anything other than Techno, but over time, he found it difficult to stick to one genre in a set. Now, he finds enjoyment in flowing between styles, transitioning between genres, and creating mashups on the fly. Expect High Energy, a touch of his Latin Roots, and lots of Bass. 

A few of his favorite tracks on today's set are Sabroso by D-Night, 13x by Santimiento, and Sinergy by Discurso Magico.

Besides VRChat and DJing, he loves playing a variety of games, ranging from story-driven single-player games to online multiplayer titles. He also loves attending IRL techno parties with friends and wandering around the city late at night while drinking Tinto De Verano to cool off from the heat. 

He wanted to give a huge shoutout to all the wonderful people he's met in this world, who, today, are such an important part of his life. And to everyone else, spread love and Baila Libre.

he boys are back! After their initial collaboration cleverly named IGORI (an homage to the name they share), Cosmic G & Dakman returned to the studio. Dazzled by the contrasts of their surrounding and the most recent insurrection of society in their native country of Serbia, the two prolific producers dug deep into their past, in an attempt to disclose these contrasts through club music - using essential console entertainment of their kidulthood.

The four-tracker release bares the names of legendary video games, with the objective to marry the carelessness of the artists’ upbringing in the early 2000s and the current state of affairs, while subliminally pointing out the ill features that surround them.

First up is “Frozen Throne”, shaking up the place with a warm bouncy baseline and a tropical drum arrangement; cold vocal snippets and synth hits create a smart divergence of elements upsurging the tension in the break, before the warmth of the bass and groove overwhelms us on the drop.

Next off is “CS 1.6” the infamous tactical first-person shooter computer game, this time disguised in a wonderful, yet esoteric progressive house track displaying the joint signature sound the two producers are known for from their previous EP: positive backing theme is confronted by gloomy synth arrangements, and closed off with an oriental melody, all placed along a solid 90’s drum machine arrangement.

“Serious Sam” takes us on a voyage full of gated voices and pads: straight to the point, the almost-dystopian, deep, cut up vocal articulation is carried by a playful baseline and emerging one-note stabs, before it all evolves to a frisky chase of melodic components. As the game itself, this B-side is full anticipations and uncertainties - a guaranteed recipe for a busy dance floor.

Concluding this release is “Age of Empire (Burn A Bich Edit)” - clearly alluding to the political state, while cleverly placing a voice of a known figure of that milieu. Adding much more swing to the drum pattern, the track’s simplified baseline gives way to the melodic structures: the breakdown releases the full statement of the vocal piece, sending a message of hope and perseverance.
