Little mashup I made andn posted on my Insta last week doing a whip test. People seemed to dig it, so I figured I'd give it away here!

There's a lot to say about this mix. Lots of music friends, family and feel good jams all day. 

I never edit live dj mixes, but we happened to pop some breakers twice in the 2.5 hours that I was playing so I added a few effects to break up those parts... 

Had friends roll out from Ohio, Kentucky, Chicago, Milwaukee and all over for this one and the entire day was a vibe from start to finish. Even got to celebrate Aza's birthday. 

Not to mention the amazing mic work from the one and only Sean G who's not only one of my closest friends, but clearly the best hype man on the planet ;) 

And it was Father’s Day 🤷

Everything evolves. Music, people, style, fashion, art, events, thought, ideas, inspiration, etc. d1rt m@ll is a new project derived from the evolution of all those things. Brainchild of scene veteran and DJ J.C. Hanna, it’s the culmination of 20+ years in the music industry and refusing to be pigeonholed into just one style, classification, or genre. Highly influenced by his 90s Chicago rave roots, he’s always had an affinity for everything from ghetto/booty/electro/acid/juke/techno as well as a love for 80s & 90s hip hop and pop music. The definition of “dirt mall” is: A place of business where used goods are made available at bargain prices, a flea market; and this is the approach that J.C. is flipping into musical repertoire. Taking bits and pieces from all his favorite artists and genres from the past and present and transforming them into his own new style that’s strictly focused on the dancefloor, the future, and putting the fun back into music.
