There is a bit of discretion used by keeping it simple and letting intricate details fill the beat which allows the tracks to breathe. Towards the bridge the song grows bold feeding of off a new rhythm which creates a fusion jazz wave.

'Dreamy' shares a rebellious but ambient tone through muddy drums while asking someone to come away with you to a place in your mind because, your escape. It's sharing your most intimate thoughts and letting them know that whatever you've been struggling with is on your mind everyday. Towards the bridge the song takes a dramatic turn blending 90's r&b with hip hop and electronic elements, almost reminiscent of chopped and screwed. The song reverts to a non conformist vibe but still sensitive to someone who is in love with the affection/intimacy of someone. The blending of the two vibes creates a dreamy atmosphere.
