this song is about a piglet who gets to grow up and play outside with her siblings but then she becomes a sow and start being exploited to produce more piglets, each of which are torn away from her. 
She mourns the loss of her children until her body and mind become so worn that she isn't of as much use as she was in her younger days.
Fear and relief are in her eyes and her fleshy heart as she finally stares death in the face. Slaughter- and life ends.
