We are proud to welcome back the fiercest female collab on the planet, ESSEL and Alex Mills. Their club heater ‘Rave Is The Weapon’ landed last year on Toolroom and saw huge club support from the likes of Diplo, Dombresky and Solardo whilst strong BBC Radio One love came from Danny Howard and Arielle Free. The energy that these 2 create when they’re in the same room is incredible and they emulate that in this follow-up, ‘Give Me Desire’.

This is epic in every sense of the word! Those lush, uplifting chords with Alex’s powerful vocals over the top create pure goosebump moments again and again throughout the track. D4 D4NCE faithful Eden Prince returns to the London label with ‘Giving Me Life’ featuring burgeoning vocalist DEJA. Hailing from Stoke-On-Trent, DJ and producer Eden Prince’s relationship with D4 D4NCE continues to grow, first landing with ‘Temptation’ in 2024 and now set to play for the label’s summer season at O Beach Ibiza in 2025. For his next record ‘Giving Me Life’, the second in a three-single deal, Eden collaborates with DEJA, a vibrant, fresh artist from Birmingham whose self-penned releases have been making waves. Together the two create dancefloor magic, as DEJA’s deft, harmonic vocal layers flit over Eden’s signature bounce, laced with synthy pulses at every turn.

Long-time friend of Defected Ferreck Dawn returns with ‘Make Me Weak’, featuring vocals from Caroline Byrne. A Dutch powerhouse who in 2024 played for the London label at Wembley’s OVO Arena, the summer season at Ushuaïa Ibiza, its flagship festival in Croatia and world tour stop in Toulouse, Ferreck continues to rep Defected on an international level - now preparing for the label’s season at Pacha Ibiza. His busy touring schedule was matched by his Defected output, working with Maverick Sabre, New Machine, GUZ, MEDUZA and Clementine Douglas on a string of tracks last year. Returning to the label in 2025, Ferreck collaborates with Caroline Byrne, a prolific dance music singer / songwriter who has previously featured on tracks with Gorgon City, Tudor, and TSHA. ‘Make Me Weak’ is a groovier, more synth-laden outing for Ferreck, spotlighting Caroline’s airy topline layered in harmony, creating a vocaloid-like effect that aligns perfectly with Ferreck’s signature, hard-hitting production.

A classic organ hook drives the track, with vocals appreciative of the genre, all wrapped up with Fedde’s unmistakable production.

No stranger to Toolroom, Fedde has been instrumental in the labels 20 year journey – with classic  singles, mix compilations, live performances and of course his seminal remix of Coldplay ‘Paradise’ released on Toolroom in 2011. It’s an honour to welcome him back to the label.
