Nas declared that hip hop is dead. We say SHOW US THE BODY! As long as we can wrap our fingers around a microphone, hip hop has got a pulse. The d_Cyphernauts have been talking the talk and walking the walk since their fusion in 2000.

 Rising from the ashes of NSB studios in the Bronx in the summer of 2000, rappers Othello and Nemesis Alpha and Snare formed a coalition that continues to produce music that is streetwise, vital, intelligent and revolutionary. Snare is no longer a member of the group, however his legacy lives on in the music he helped create. 

 Both current member MCs called new York City home as they grew up, Nemesis Alpha in the Bronx and Othello dwelling in Staten Island. The Bronx battle-rapper and the Staten Island social commentator have a chemistry that is is unrivaled. Nemesis Alpha's fierce, straight-forward delivery is offset by the syncopated cadences and the spitfire flow of Othello's lyrical swordplay. Both MCs are also inner city schoolteachers and their commitment to uplifting the youth of the next hip hop generation is apparent in their music.

 Whether they are addressing the loss of Othello's father when the towers came down on September 11th, addressing the injustice of our war in Iraq or focusing on the current state of hip hop, the d_Cyphernauts will move you, mind, body and soul.

 As the creators of the the Enter the Cypher Hip Hop Showcase and Open Mic events and one of the founding forces of the Ant Farm Affiliates, the d_Cyphernauts have established themselves as a force in the Connecticut underground hip hop scene. Enter the Cypher was a networking hub and a mecca for live hip hop for seven years until it's final showcase in 2012. The Nauts are expanding their vision to include the production of Hip Hop Summit events which thrive on interactive live performances, workshops and town hall meetings to foster the evolution of their artform. The d_Cyphernauts refuse to be players in the current state of rap music, they are intent on changing the game.
