I was playing Fallout 4 the other day with a friend and played some Steve Roach in the background. My friend said, why don't they make cool music for games, like this? I agreed and made this short thing that resembles the Steve Roach song.

The 3rd mix in the Supertrance series, aiming to recreate the feeling of the magic mixtapes by Mark Allen and Tsyuoshi Suzuki and others that everyone copied and listened to 24/7 back in the day, when the music was new, fresh, wonderful, inspiring and life-changing. The 90 (-ish) minute format is the same length as cassette mixtapes, who usually were 45x2 minutes long.

This mix features music from 1993, 1994 and 1995 and has some perhaps less well known names, as well as the big pioneers of psychedelic trance. It's a fairly eclectic mix that goes up and down and every track has its own story.

Supertrance 3

A mix of old soul tracks, so called Northern Soul, from the late 60s early 70s. In northern England and Scotland they were the first to receive shipments from the US with the latest records. One certain style that captured a lot of peoples interest was energetic, fast soul. They collected this music and started making parties where this particular music was played all night to intense dancing. It was the first raves reallty!

Most artists are fairly unknown. The most famous is Marvin Gaye who has a track in the mix - "This Love Starved Heart Of Mine (It's Killing Me). There are many jewels in the mix however, like the epic production of the Flirtations "Nothing But A Heartache", the smoothness and harmonies of Luther Ingrams "If It's All The Same To Tou Babe", the raw energy of Mickey Lee Lanes "Hey Sah-Lo-Ney", the minimal and hypnotic Perry & The Harmoics "Do The Monkey With James" and many more.

So, this may come as a surprise to those of you following this page, but I didnt find any other good place to upload it to. And who knows, next mix may be death metal or electronic body music or anything else. :)

Northern Soul

Welcome to my DJ-page. You'll find mixsets and livesets here. I've been collecting music from the DAT market in the 90s, and have been digitalizing them and putting them together into mixsets during the last years, called D-Daves DAT Favorites. They've been available on Facebook, but I will gradually put them up here as well, and make new ones.

There will also be livesets from Battle of the Future Buddhas and various recorded DJ-sets as well.


I've been a  producer of electronic music for 25 years. Have been releasing a lot of music with the band Battle of the Future Buddhas and various sideprojects. Also running the label Schlabbaduerst ReKkords.
