Immerse yourself in the captivating sounds of 1FM, a Mexican techno project formed by two seasoned musicians from Guadalajara's electronic scene, Yuri Gonzalez and Manuel Amézquita.

"Esplendor Mecanico" marks the fifth musical installment from this talented duo. The EP features three tracks: "Iman," "Rotor," and "Histeresis." The title itself pays a subtle tribute to the renowned Spanish band "Esplendor Geometrico."

Each track on this EP showcases the expertise and creative vision of 1FM. "Iman" draws you in with its magnetic allure, while "Rotor" delivers relentless techno rhythms that will leave you captivated. "Histeresis" takes you on a hypnotic journey, weaving intricate layers and mysterious melodies.

SPOKEN074 - Locus Error 

We asked a good friend and great DJ, Locus Error, to make a mix for this week's episode. 

She has already won over many listeners with her funky, uplifting techno and bouncing basslines. She demonstrates this through her residencies on Planet Rose, Open Source Radio, and her own event and record label BALANS. Her performances demonstrate a love of music that began when she was an 8-year-old cellist at a music school in Belgium. This mix is a fantastic fusion of several alternative genres. She described it as sound-filled music.

“Figuren” is a mischievous machine jam with a steady rhythmic base, containing an unnecessarily attention-seeking open hi-hat and an unnerving synth sequence. All according to plan. With “Fysik” things takes a savage turn, broken dirty drums, a washing room revered synth, buried vocals and most important, more cowbell on the menu. “Tjohej” stemmed from the idea to make a dirty minimal workout with an unlovely acid sequence & a shifty lose groove. “Fasfel” came to be after decimating phasing-out effects over a moody melodic sequence with lean stabs, spontaneous, and unexpected.
