A lone man builds a fire in the desert and starts to dance around it calling Lingmarra Lingmarra Gumba, Eh Ya Weri... 
As he sings and dances, he calls in the people until all are gathered at the fire.

Tom E Lewis first learned it when travelling with his father Gadjimarra George. Melanie Shanahan arranged it like this.

Popular throughout Arnhem Land, Tom said, “Yeah, Just sing country, sing country, sing country.  Sing it for the old ones and the young ones too.”

This was one of my favorite sets from the summer. We started with a simple cacao ceremony to set intention and open the container for a deep dive inside. The set starts slow and builds to ecstatic moments joined by a full range of live collaboration, all improvised in the moment. Thank you to Dreamersland Festival for setting the stage for this magical experience.
