Raça EP is the outcome of Brazilian-based producer d_niel's immersion into Brazil's deepest roots in terms of culture as well as referring to the historical scars of Latin America's colonization. This revisitation was made to understand how despite Brazil's overall population being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, the black communities are the ones who struggle the most in Bolsonaro's deadly government. These researches somehow led the young producer to explore Amefrican sonorities in an attempt to reinterpret not only the wounds but also the beauty of Brazilian history into a dance music album that includes 8 tracks that are driven by swung basslines, more jazzy synths, and ethereal sounds.

With his second independent release, d_niel drags us down into his own world driven by melancholic melodies and precise drum grooves. Always pushing the boundaries further, in this 4 tracks format EP, he explores a more analogical and organic flow adding real instruments and emulated synthesizers that he modulates on his computer to his creations. Some vocals such as Miss X's narrative on her dreams performed by Kate Moss in The 4 Dreams Of Miss X (a short film by Agent Provocateur) and an old recording from an interview of brazilian writer Clarice Lispector during Brazil's dictatorship plays a more hypnotizing role although they also communicate subliminal ideas.
