Oscar Sanchez's 'Circadian Rhythms' is a four-track techno weapon designed for the heads who like it deep, rolling, and just a little bit twisted. This one’s not for the faint of heart. it’s for the 5am crowd, the sweaty basements, and the rooftops still kicking at sunrise.

Hailing from Spain’s underground circuit, Oscar Sanchez has been bubbling under for a while building a rep with releases on labels like Reload and Be One, and now landing heavy on Ramon Tapia’s Say What? imprint. The vibe? All groove, no filler.

The title track 'Circadian Rhythms' is straight-up body music. Pulsing low-end pressure, ticking percussion, and a hypnotic build that pulls dancers into its cycle. It’s tense, it’s fluid, and it’s got that late-night magnetism you only get when the club is locked in.

Next up, 'Monkey' brings a tribal swing to the floor. Perc hits bounce, the bassline rolls, and the whole thing feels loose but locked. It’s primal and playful with just enough tension to make the drop count.

'Present' strips things back and lets the groove breathe. A warm, minimal roller with just enough funk to keep the floor moving and just enough space to get lost in. That synth line? Cheeky, catchy, and built for long blends.

Closing out the EP is 'Zigzag', a real curveball. This one’s for the heads who love their techno off-kilter. Skipping rhythms, bouncing patterns, and a groove that never sits still. It’s weird in the best way and a proper tool for the more adventurous selectors.

Big up Say What? for this one, Oscar Sanchez just delivered a serious weapon for the deeper side of the dancefloor.

I can't quite remember where I was when I first heard this masterpiece from Matt Dear but it resonated with me instantly. And judging by how many DJs got behind it "Mouth to Mouth" was destined to become a classic. The 10 year anniversary is quite special for me not only because of how timeless and relevant the track remains, but 2006 was also the year I branched out as a solo artist. So thank you Matt for the inspiration and I hope my take on it complements the original masterpiece. - Dubfire

As well-received as Audion's debut album—the sawed-off techno of Suckfish—was back in 2005, Matthew Dear's alter ego didn't assert its dominance until the following year. That's when Richie Hawtin slipped Audion's next single (the anthem-on-arrival that is "Mouth to Mouth") into the closing set of Detroit's Electronic Music Festival, pulling the pin on the weekend's most explosive moment and leaving everyone wondering what the hell just happened. 

Which was kinda the point. Dear wrote and recorded "Mouth to Mouth" right after a two-week tour of Europe, and in many ways, its hypnotic rhythms and signature bee swarm hook—cut in real time over the course of a couple restless hours—are meant to replicate the rush he felt in many overseas clubs.

"There was a great energy being shared by a lot of artists then," explains Dear. "I remember playing the song for a few people and it was clear something special was happening, something meditative in the simple repetition and slow build of it all."

The side-long single has stood the test of time, too, enough to warrant another look along the ambitious lines of Mouth to Mouth 10. The double pack reveals how one track can take on a life of its own in the hands of eight distinct producers, keeping its core intact without being afraid to manipulate the record's overall mood. So while Riva Starr's mischievous version sounds like it could be dropped in the middle of a sweaty Horse Meat Disco set, Dubfire lurks in the shadows, waiting to strike; and Dense & Pika crank up the chaos like a pressure cooker set to self-destruct.

"I asked everyone to treat their remix like a cover," explains Dear, "letting the theme guide them rather than the parts. Everyone put a piece of themselves into it, and I'll forever be grateful to them for contributing." 

He can also breathe a sigh of relief, for Mouth to Mouth 10 marks the end of Audion's first chapter and the beginning of what's to come with his long-awaited second LP this summer.
