He also has a scheduled release on Reload Black Label in 2025, further cementing his trajectory in the techno scene.

Glasgow’s finest is back at it. Harvey McKay The Hook Up EP has just touched down on Ben Sims’ iconic Hardgroove, and it is a masterclass in stripped, sweat-drenched techno.

McKay has been slinging dancefloor weapons for over two decades, from his own Faction Music to recent heat on RSPX, and even that monster remix of Daniel Avery’s ‘Drone Logic’. He’s no stranger to bass-bin abuse, and this new one is pure damage control for the rave.

Kicking off with the low-end stomp of ‘Only 909’, built entirely from a TR909 and dripping with swing, you know exactly where this is going. ‘What Is Her Name’ struts in with sharp percussion and a cheeky funk underbelly, and our premiere is proof it’s going to get basements and warehouses grinning ear-to-ear.
