‘FTDJ’ sees the pairing of two heavyweight German techno talents on one killer release.  Ackermann and Michael Klein have been responsible for a slew of solo releases over the years.  Ackermann is a regular on Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE label, whilst Klein’s repertoire has been fired out by legendary labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Second State, BLK DRP and many more.

A brace of rollicking tracks is delivered on their collaborative release for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint.  The cheeky vocal sample in ‘FTDJ’ dominates, but never overloads, instead working rhythmically with the swinging and funky techno groove that’s established, as loopy top line keys and dirty stabs keep this industrious banger shooting forwards!  And on ‘Check This Out’, a building intensity is generated as spiralling modular tones and vivacious percussive drums create a drama inducing heater!

The British DJ/producer Roberto aka Fossil Archive has been at the vanguard of the modern British electronic scene for some time, deploying sophisticated and pure techno sounds via releases on labels such as ARTS, Radio Slave’s Rekids and Mike Dehnert’s Fachwerk.

The debut Fossil Archive album ‘Tungsten’ was released in 2021 on Kneaded Pains and was a long player that transcended through a complete range of ambient sounds and heavyweight beats. On this new single for Dense & Pika’s imprint, a brace of polished techno cuts are served up.

On ‘Valves Of Life’ a slice of hypnotic and unobtrusive techno tantalisingly unfurls, as tension building strings and spacey melodies play out, whilst on ‘The Heights Of Metropolis’, a distinct electro/Chicago house hybrid is formed, as menacing acid and cold vocals make its mark.

Back around once again with another indispensable collection of new techno bangers, Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains label issue a fifth instalment of their KPAINS series.

Some of the many highlights on KPAINS5 include a classy remix of Dense & Pika’s ‘Apache’ from Oxia (whose 2006 epic ‘Domino’ became a global success), a devastating rattler from Filterheadz & Horatio, NANCY Live’s gnarly ‘CreM’ and the dark and murky garage sounds of Martin Badder’s ‘Yeh You (So Sweet)’.

Elsewhere on the compilation album, new talent comes to the surface, with pure heaters from the likes of edetto, Eme Kulhnek, djseanEboy, Mark Porter, ProOne79, Transistor Rhythms and AD7USTMENT.

Omis returns to the EI8HT label after 2021’s ‘Sleep Off’ EP.  A brimming five track collection is served up on Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s techno imprint, and on the ‘Contrasting Details’ EP, the Italian producer fires on all cylinders with a solid bunch of dancefloor heaters!  

With his music receiving support from the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Shlomi Aber, Amelie Lens and more, Omis has been busy since his last EI8HT release, popping up on labels like Unrilis and On Edge Society and remixing for Fatima Haji.

On the ‘Contrasting Details’ EP, Omis deploys jackin’ grooves and compelling samples across the five tracks, each one amassed with funky energy and pumping drum power for the discerning DJs and dancefloors.
