Tilikum was an innocent orca who only ever wanted to live freely. Unfortunately, Sea World took that away from him when they captured him when he was just a little baby whale. From there, they subjected him to extreme torment and forced him to do performances in which only they would profit. The atrocities committed against him and other orcas are documented in the documentary Blackfish, which I highly recommend watching so you can know how terrible of a place Sea World is. Tillikum is dead now. He died of a lung infection. In captivity. He never got to taste the ocean water again. Life isn’t like Finding Nemo; his father never came to the rescue. Orcas who get caught are doomed to suffer until they experience the sweet release of death. Someone has to do something. This song was written to honor his memory and to take a stand against Sea World. Please, give it a listen, a like, a share, we need to spread this message to the furthest corners of space...
