25th mix in our series was a long one in the making! But the wait was well worth it! 

@sankywashere delivers a wonderful music lover's dream mix made of Soft Rock, Classical, Balearic, Psych Folk, Israeli Jazz Rock, 80's, Italo, Boogie and what not! A couple of exclusives in there and some stuff to set the shazamers off...! 

Sankywashere has willingly no social media presence, you can find him only on Soundcloud. He plays at Love International in Croatia and We Out Here, Gilles Peterson's Festival.

Originally from Newcastle, he moved to New York 10 years ago, and moved just recently to LA. Currently curating a new museum in London that just opened up. www.twistmuseum.com

Sanky has spent a lot of his life in dusty bins full of records looking for sounds that were less than successful at the time. Coming from the north of England, he grew up on rare soul and jazz and found a deep connection to the most special of formats, the 7”, which is most of what he collects nowadays. "I'm a George" he says, "if that makes sense for anyone... good music growing up all around..." 

As a long-term Mancuso's Loft Party fanatic, he has been influenced to let records play longer and drift around to hopefully create a feeling and not just a ‘set’. "The mix is for us to escape together to a remote villa on a warm night with good friends and listen to the whispers of the musical past. And of course all ID’s welcome as per usual, music is for sharing." 

"It was my 50th this year and there are a few records on there that remind me of good times spent through the year, mainly the 2 weeks in Ibiza that a few of these tunes soundtracked... and this also covers the widest time span of any mix I've done as it goes back to Holst and the 19th Century... been hunting the 1st tune for years, so it's a coming together of 50 years of listening."

Simon DK - “Float Laboratory” (1994)
After hearing the news of Simons passing and remembering with friends the subject of a certain mixtape came up …we all searched our boxes of cassettes without much luck and some empty cases …however Pete Slotter discovered and found what might well be the only existing copy …and as luck would have it the original tape!
Recorded at Simon DK's flat in Nottingham after the after party on a DiY Bounce night in 1994 after Bath crew John Kesecki & Pete Slotter went back to his and asked him to make a tape, which he did and named it 'Float Laboratory'. 
It's a lovely pitched down mix perfectly capturing those early hours.
It was brought down to Bath - copied and played ALOT!!. It was one of those tapes that just did the rounds and was loved by many…
So it was only right at this time to immortalise it and make it available for you to enjoy again or hear it for the first time...
