After years of anticipation, Da 1st Ladies have released their debut mixtape "No Skip" Vol. 2, much to the excitement of their already sizeable army of fans. With the mixtape expected to be a success, the exciting, new sound that they have made their own is certain to gain interest from across the world. The group consists of two very different females with the same passions and dreams. They go by the names of Buddie Pachino and  J. Riskae' formally known as J-Lady. The development of their unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence from both artists individually. Growing up in talented musical families meant that these ladies were always surrounded by different forms of music. Both their parents exposed them to a wealth of music as children, all of which influenced their individual development. Da 1st Ladies’ musical journey began in Columbus, Georgia. After meeting one another in October of 2008, they realized that making music was a main goal that they both shared, and so they began to showcase their talents together in various venues across the Southeast, performing at numerous gigs and making sure that their name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. They were quickly noted for the unique style that they brought to the traditional Columbus, Georgia scene, and their popularity began to grow. They’ve performed at various Foxie 105 events, as well as earned the title as the first females to ever have their hit singles, ‘Rainman’ (2010) and ‘Girlz’ (2011), retired from Foxie 105’s Battle of the Beats. As their confidence grew and their style developed, they soon saw a loyal following begin to grow and they became a popular local hit in the Columbus music scene. Their talent with a variety of producers only added to their appeal, and their unique sound with a twist started to find an appreciative audience. Their name continues to grow in the Southeast, aided by the sounds of the South that they find all around them. Although traditional Southern music is where Da 1st Ladies’ roots lie, that is not to say that they find themselves restricted to this genre. In fact their influences are vast, which their much anticipated mixtape demonstrates, providing a versatile style of rap/hip hop. They are keen to point out that everything they listen to directs their musical development in some way. However, they would certainly include Outcast, UGK, Missy Elliot, Queen Latifah, Eve and TLC as amongst their biggest influences as a group. Finally, after developing their unique sound over recent years, they are now preparing to release their debut mixtape, ‘No Skip’, which underlies the changes that Da 1st Ladies have gone through over recent years. Their songs provide a combination of ever so flawless lyrics and mellow vocals, with a rhythmic undercurrent that bears testament to their word play and metaphoric punch lines that are punctuated throughout their music adding elements of rap, hip-hop and R&B. Da 1st Ladies’ touring schedule is about to become increasing relentlessly, as they find themselves more in demand than ever in venues across the Southeast. At best, the Southern states have built an appreciation for their sound and talents, with their loyal army of fans spread far and wide across the states waiting eagerly for their first chance to listen to the anticipated 1st Ladies mixtape. Their mixtape features various local artists such as Jawga Boi, Cuz, Mr. Cape, C-Hodge, Mr. Magnum, Slimm Hill and Cane Wayne.
