The title itself “SUY” just came to us outta the blue. It was one of our very first session, the homeboy SMS said the word - and Delario asked what it meant. After explaining the word was slang in Wallof, Gambias´native language that could be used for anything that is positive or nice - as in the American slang word “dope.” We came immediately to the conclusion that “SUY” had to be the title of our first single. Bergen artist Delario produced the 3 minutes and 28 seconds long track. Artists LMS Da SMS and DJ SUYY can be heard in the Hook, while Delario and BlackDiamond are going back and forth on the beginning of the first verse in English, MLS da SMS are flipping the second half both in English, Norwegian and Wallof (Gambia). Rapper Black O is doing the second verse, also spitting in English and Wallof, before BlackDiamond is finishing the track in Krio, the most common language in Sierra Leone.

Trip on that is the track were Black O og BlackDiamond can show their adventurous flow, together with some flavor from DJ Suy - as always. With this song the 3rdWorldFamily show some of the diversity the crew have within, on top of some 808 drums. The track is produced by Bergen based Diego Miranda Lopez, who also delivers two other tracks for the upcoming EP, were he like the rest of the artists shows a great range moving from trap to reggae. Just the build up of the song has some different vibe to it, in an international standard. Some might think the song is too hardcore, but together with the rest of the songs from the EP, it is an honest reflection upon societies in todays world. The Family hopes you like it!
