Here in Brazil,'Dia dos Namorados' - equivalent to 'Valentine's Day' on February 14th - is a 'commemorative' date on which the loving union between couples is celebrated, particularly on June 12th since 1948, but the motive is exclusively commercial. Thus, we adopted the month of June to release mixtapes that will distribute different interpretations and 'sound-link' related to the theme.

Love is essential to our well-being. Though love can be very confusing. What we call “love” and what another person calls “love” may be divergent. Closeness, romance, commitment, connectedness, sexual consummation, decision, bondedness, physical attraction. Hard task when trying to figure out how those aspects are inserted in our relationships. But we don't want answers, we only want to explore the emotions brought by music.

Hailing from Florianópolis, South of Brazil, where she is deeply involved with the emerging local scene, the Brazilian DJ Sarah Zimmermann delivers energy and effort with her musical project Chroma. Her vast musical background allowed the construction of a multifaceted identity, running away from threadbare stereotypes and keeping herself in nonstop metamorphosis. Also, currently the head behind the Diskothek party and co-founder of the newborn Coletivo Brasa.

Playing in not so familiar bpms, well below what she normally plays and being surrounded by the proposed theme, the DJ leaves her comfort zone in our 177th edition. So, she delivers a narrative inspired by her personal experiences, crossed by dense timbres, introspective melodies, sounds and vocals that exude clear tension, at intervals is erotic, occasionally dark and hypnotic, interspersed with some softer moments. Its ending - as in uncountable cases - is not pleasant, fulfilled with lies and illusions as the last song narrates. Extremely difficult to classify the mixtape, for now we leave it as 'electronic kaleidoscopic' which encompass sounds from across the electronic spectrum, exploring a narrative of timeless music.
