Wrote these lyrics back in 2010. I remember at the time sitting in the outside seating of a Starbucks off a busy street, depressed, lonely, and watching LA. Tye dye shirts with cats on them and sloths in astronaut suits had been coming up in my Reddit feed recently. In 2019 felt putting it to music.

In Our Town

This song is about a day at work at the last cafe I worked at. I learned a lesson that what you want to see in others, is really how you want to feel about yourself. 

I just started playing drums, thank you for your patience! Everything is improvised and played through a microphone.

This song came song the day i posted Self Love. I was stressing about getting stuff done before leaving town for a week, and feeling thankful for the love I'd received on my last post. I was on my bike at a store and one of my friends asked if I wanted to hang out. I was like "ah I have all these things to do I'll maybe be free next week?" Dude just smiled at me and said, "don't work too hard." I said I'd try and rode on my way. 

I couldn't stop thinking about it. I had all these plans but they were like, all made up. I was totally free, why was I stressing? As I was riding the guitar line came in my head. Got home, picked up the guitar, started singing and playing, and this came out. Hope it makes you want to kick up your feet. You deserve it!

Was really inspired by the piano part for "Fish Verse" on the album Goblin by Tyler The Creator, was introduced to it by my buddy Cisco Cummings who played the keys on this track. Tyler the Creator is a genius all the money and fame should go to him.
