About VWAB – yes, it's true! Everything was better back in the days. :P
After a decade (the '90s) filled with hardcore, rock, hip hop and TMF, I witnessed hardstyle evolve into what it is today. And that's something we can all be proud of.

But my old-school gabber roots are still in my blood...
Back then, hardstyle was simply HARDER – more pounding low-end, closer to that “hardcore sound,” but at the same time much more melodic and with way better kicks than today (#taste)!

That’s why I’m proud to post my entry for the VWAB DJ Contest 2025 with this message…
And no – this is not rawstyle.
Example: back in 2003, we didn’t even have that kind of distinction in hardstyle! :D

Summary: Vroeger was alles beter. :D
