Releasing a new mix for me is quite special. Now that i’m older, I only do a new mix about once a year… so it’s not only exciting, but also nerve-wracking. It still feels like i’m putting myself on the line, like I have something to prove. I put great care in trying to give you a listening experience that is worth your time, something engaging that you want to go back to, over and over again. 

Downtempo & Oddities is a collection of those special tracks that I don’t always play live. The slow ones, the oddballs, the challenging ones… new ones, old ones…it’s deep, dirty, very trippy, sometimes even a bit f*ck up.

I really do hope you enjoy, it still means the world to me that you care about what I do and take the time to really listen.

D.O.T.Y. Records proudly presents its very first release, the From Nowhere EP by downtempo veteran Landhouse. This debut marks the beginning of a label dedicated to forward-thinking, innovative electronic music. A key highlight of the release is the remix by Dad of the Year, the label founder, who adds a deeper and atmospheric reinterpretation to the track.

The remix flows with organic textures and a hypnotic bassline, transporting listeners to a reflective soundscape, ideal for late-night sets or moments of introspection. Additionally, K2W0 contributes a remix with a driving, percussive energy that gives the original a fresh rhythmic intensity.
