Summer of Mooncake is in full swing - RSS Disco release “Blizer”, the third single of their upcoming album. This one’s backed by a momentous remix by long time ally and friend Julian Stetter (Correspondant, Permanent Vacation, PNN, Planet Akwa & of course Mireia Records).

Julian’s Remix locks out the sunshine quickly, but keeps the tape delay tripping. Remember Carl Craig’s “In the Trees C2 Remix”? This Stoic, far-reaching and timeless monster of a remix. Well, that is a good reference point. But the trees are bigger here, and Julian controls the fog machine. You’ll want to get lost with us here.

Intersections of doubt

An Urugyaian, going by the name Fernando Lagreca, is next in line for our guest mix series.  To shake things up a bit, we were lucky enough to put him down for a live set, composed with fresh sounds and sharp melodies never heard before.  Fernando has been located in Barcelona now for almost 15 years, playing the local clubs and developing his artistic vision. Enjoy his one hour long Techno madness.

Fernando's own words on the live mix:
Hi everybody. I am glad to present to you my techno live act here on DanceTrippin. I usually don’t do live acts with such techno flavored sounds, but this time I thought to myself why not ? The live is composed with 1 x elektron analog rytm + 1 x elektron octatrack + 1 x novation circuit. Just hardware and no computers involved here, only used the computer for recording. With the octatrack I can explore the infinite possibilities of sampling, plus creating rhythmical structures on the fly with the analog rhythm as well as the novation circuit, which, next to that, let's me add two synths layers, great for base lines and some pad. So, it's a lot of fun for me to play this way, with my hardware toys! Greetings and peace to all DanceTrippin' listeners and fans! Cheers!

Naturel Podcast ४ Zangas

If you were to ask, DADADISCO wouldn't name a single specific source of their inspiration. These two french gourmands take in and digest pretty much everything, from hard rocks and heavy metals to synthetics and ambience... That means you can expect anything from Denis and Guillaume but cliché. Design, art, cinema and fashion are just as important to them as music. And it all comes through in their sets. 
These gents are very much the products of the "promiscuous and omnivorous" disco mayhem, forever imprinted in the collective memory of club culture as Bar25. It was through this jolly demonic mill, fumes and flames, thick and thin, that this combo blazed their way onto Berlin's raucous music scene. Veritable performers, their epic endless sets were somewhat of a cross between music and circus.
When it closed for good, DADADISCO went global, spreading their retro-futuristic sound along with their overtly surrealist attitude. "Dada" in their name refers, of course, to a movement that in the mid-20th century famously repudiated and mocked all sorts of artistic conventions while emphasising the illogical and absurd. DADADISCO keeps experimenting with genres and influences to discover and deliver their own unique blend of sexy electronica, always favouring spontaneity over etiquette. The name sticks on all of these counts.
