Track i co-wrote with Tenny Ten and Yogee aka Fingertipbeats. At first we played around with a few ideas at Tennys' on the Acoustic Guitar, just messing with different phrasings, chords and so forth. I really felt strongly about what we were doing so from there i knew i needed to develop the idea into a 'full blown song'. I wrote verses and choruses, then once i was happy with everything i recorded the song in my studio. I got Nadia Pearson to do some bv's for me, and then the track was mixed. I hope you like it. To me the song is about looking after your children, doing the best for them, being honest with them, and loving them the best you can. If you've grwon up with a parent that hasn't done these things for you, maybe you will understand more than most. He who feels it knows it. Love.....

Fade Away

Track taken off my latest release 'Exodus Okay'...I wrote this over a few weeks on my trusty old Takamine EG523SC. I don't write many 'lovey' songs, but this song goes against the mould of my typical output. It's about finding a girl you love and not being afraid of trying to be together and making it work. Easy to say, but not always the easiest thing to do!.....

Find Yourself A Girl

As some of you may or may not know I’m a bit of a Beatles fan, and a couple of days ago I decided to record/cover a set of Beatles’ songs. I’ve done one track so far, and have the instrumental for another. This one here is ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’. I didn’t take my normal approach and spend ages going into details of the track, I just wanted it a bit more raw and immediate, with a 60's/70's vibration.  I hope to do another one next week , and then maybe drop one more to create the triumvirate.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

This is a track I co-wrote whilst I was working on a project with some young people in Shrewsbury in 2014.
The lady I wrote it with is Ricki Ephgrave, and she also does the lead vocals.
I hadn't listened to it in a while, but just re-discovered whilst arranging a hard drive.
I think it's a beautiful, well crafted song, and as I listen to it, memories of her and I sitting at the piano putting the chords together start to flood back. 
Anyway, I hope you like it.
