Journeying through the intersections of UKG and house, Smokey Bubblin’ B is consistently responsible for bringing out stellar underground dance tracks. Previously making outings on Conducta’s Kiwi Rekords, Low Steppa’s Simma Black, his latest offering is a self-released record, and his second jungle release to date. The two-tracked ‘Elysium/Special’ makes use of those old skool flavours, and has already been picked up by the likes of Flava D, Emerald, Redlight, DJ Zinc and Heartless Crew. Over the past year, the young producer and DJ has demonstrated his talent for channelling bassy UK flavours into his own productions which have had support from the likes of Riz La Teef, Bakey and Frazer Ray. A marvelled string of self-releases has highlighted his ability to sit amongst some of the most prominent names in the scene. 

On Sight is a solid example of how Ghoulish’s ability allows him to think outside of a standard structure and delve deep into broken rhythms and swinging percussion. Punchy basslines and whaling sirens are guaranteed to energise any raver on the dancefloor. Complex arrangements combine chaotic percussive patterns with vocal jitters and fine sample work, once again showcasing this prodigy’s talent. 

Firmly cementing himself as an integral part of the UK bass scene, On Sight is a step forward for Ghoulish as he climbs the ranks as one of the most talented artists in the game.
