'Millionaire', 'Milkshake' and 'Bossy' are just a few of the tracks that have helped make Kelis one of the biggest and most recognisable female recording artists in the world. She's now brought out five studio albums and after a string of major hits, the solo-artist is set to release her sixth, 'Food' via Ninja Tune on April 21.

Towards the end of last she dropped the first track to be taken from the new LP and now 'Jerk Ribs' has been given the remix treatment in 2014.

Nothing compares to or is more treasured by revellers than making joyful Carnival memories with those we care deeply for. This is a truth that Kerwin Du Bois alongside Patrice Roberts know all too well, and passionately express with true finesse on their track. Kerwin also co-writes this one with Aaron “Voice” St. Louis of Full Blown Entertainment, and working together they colourfully describe the poignant emotions these annual celebrations evoke as well as the unbreakable bonds they build.

These are transcendent pleasures, which are often taken for granted in today’s world. But for Voice, the blessing of being able to sing and write his own Soca song fills him with a sense of gratitude and deep-seated joy. Feelings he conveys clearly in every lyric and tone. His uplifting tune is pure melodic encouragement and an optimistic sign of things to come from this artist.

If you’re an up-and-coming producer whose debut release is commanding the attention of Roman Flügel, Mano Le Tough and Bicep, it’s safe to say you’re doing something right. Hailing from Belfast, LOR is doing just that; his focus on hypnotic melodies and subtle experimentation gaining support from big names across the world of techno and underground electronica.

LOR’s aforementioned debut release was a 3-track set of remixes, on which the Irishman put his spin on tracks from three very different musical heavyweights: Derrick Carter, Arthur Russell and Kraftwerk – the latter of which particularly piqued our interest here at DT.  Since we picked him in our 'Ones to Watch for 2016', his first original EP was snapped up by one of the leading Berlin techno labels (we’re not allowed to give the details until their promo kicks in later this year) and a second EP of unreleased material was immediately signed to Fort Romeau’s new label, Cin Cin, for a release this summer. 

He joins our Mix of the Day Series today and we are very happy to have him, if you like this mix and want to see him out then you can catch LOR DJ’ing at the AVA Festival in Belfast, Tramlines Festival in Sheffield and Celtronic Festival in Derry.
