We were sitting in a truck with all my things in it, waiting to drive away, my new ex completely broke down in the lounge. The house I used to live in had this incredibly long hallway and the sound went though it like a shotgun of guilt aimed directly at me, I looked at my friend and we nervously giggled like kids sharing a what the fuck moment when their mum bursts into tears. My other friend ran out to comfort her, then he came back and we drove away. 

Liar (Are you a Liar?)

The vibe of the song comes from when I used to do the night shift at Mc Donalds. I would finish at 4am and walk for an hour and a half to get home. 

I would get so tired I'd hallucinate sometimes. I saw a one legged cyclist out of the corner of my eye, when I turned around it was a tree. 

I saw a black, empty, shiny garbage bag and I was terrified that it was guano from a bat that would have to be as big as a house. 

St Ives was a rich suburb that didn't really believe in a lot of street lights, so you would see massive windows with a family inside, going about their family stuff like a giant human aquarium floating in the darkness.


Diver

Imagine someone that had all sorts of things they were going to achieve but then they met a tragic end and became a ghost, their unfinished business tethering them to this world in a sort of crappy half life. 
Now imagine that person didn’t die but instead they used kind of a crappy excuse to completely bail on all of the things they said they would do. And totally enjoys their new life where they don’t have to meet any of those expectations they set up for themselves. Did they plan it all along?
