This is the third installment in my series of exploration of sounds. As I progress in music production (with the main focus on EDM - house / techhouse), I want to explore pushing the boundaries of houw plugins and various tools are used; either pushing them to their limits or using them in unorthodox ways.

I want these short sessions to be small 'experiences', as apposed to 'songs'.

Soundscapes Session 3 [I don't smoke crack, mf I sell it]

I begin with the whining background sound, which was created by playing around with a midi controller and some virtual synths. I immediately visualised this as some sort of F1 car sound. I tried to build this as a house track, but it just wasn't sitting right. I pushed it up to 140 and it sat nicely (145 for this version, to fit the vocal). The whining lead track paired with the thumping bass and this hard hitting vocal, made me think of driving at fast pace (hence the cover, painted by me!).

This is a two track EP. This track is with the vocal, the other version Is an instrumental version at 140bpm.

Feed Daedalus is a creative music project where I take prompts from my followers — text, sounds, colours, emotions — and use the prompt provided as inspiration / creative direction and curate a  themed release of music, cover art and audio visualiser. (The follow also wins a free copy of the art).

For V1.1 (Metamorphosis), the prompt:

“Something themed about 'metamorphosis' could be cool inspired around transformative change. It's quite linked to butterfly/biological motifs but could encapsulate any sort of transformation/ change in theory?”

inspired evolving rhythms, shifting textures, and melodic transformations.

Alongside the music, I create a themed cover and a custom audiovisualiser that visually interprets the track’s concept — check out the process and visuals on my YouTube channel. The cover is created by a custom JavaScript framework coded by myself and using a pen plotting machine to plot the design onto high quality cardstock using fountain pens. 

This series is an experimental journey exploring how ideas can be transformed into music through human creativity.

Afro House Mix 2 (2025)

Jungle track with a focus on transforming classic rock samples into a fresh modern piece.  This track brings hard grooves with dark chaotic vibes to fill out a room with grit teeth and moving feet.  So this track was originally put together for a beat challenge, but some unexpected travel left me missing the deadline. This might have been the fortunate curse as I really got the chance to wrestle this one around and make it my own at the end of the day.
