Marcos Valle was born in Rio de Janeiro and took piano and music theory lessons as a young child. As he grew older he developed a taste for live music at bars and clubs, where he’d listen to jazz. 
With his brother, Paulo Sergio Valle, he wrote a number of hits and made his first album, Samba Demais in 1964. He headed to the United States the following year, where Walter Wanderley successfully recorded the song Samba de Verão. The songs  Preciso Aprender a Ser Só and Terra de Ninguém are also from that period as well as Samba de Maria, O Amor É Chama, Viola Enluarada (recorded with Milton Nascimento), Dia de Vitória, Gente, Seu Encanto and Ao Amigo Tom.

The second installment of Mr Bongo’s Marcos Valle Essential series. This time the focus is more on his easy listening and instrumental output.
The album also includes several Portuguese re-recordings of familiar songs such as Os Grilos, Seu Encanto and Chup Chup, I Got Away.

The form of an object, outside the dream, is beholden to the dreamer. But as somnolence dawns and the dream’s tapestry takes shape, the object’s true nature blooms like a night flower with tranquil hues unreal, lulling the dreamer deeper still.

Forms, as a series of musical collections, opts for measured themes unique to each edition. Meditative, with carefully constructed folds, the compilation is sewn together with the intent to capture, and make tangible, concepts in motion.

For the third edition of our compilation series, we invited twelve artists to find their voice between ambient and folk stylings to capture the ethereal, macabre panorama of lullabies. Gentle in force and colored by soaring, haunting melodies, each composition straddles restful fantasy and a calm, quiet alertness.

Opening the compilation, @Fishdoll says  "I usually tend to make peaceful music. But this project changed the way I think about my approach and it gave me a theme that let me really dig into my dark side. Everyone has dark side, but now when I sit down and look at it, I see it is so real, and it’s beautiful to me. This song talks about hauntings and ghosts, seen as a different type or form of romance. You are chased by someone or you’re missing someone, it’s still out of love instead of hate. The loneliness hits you so hard when no one can help you but yourself."

As a performer they're synonymous with controllers, from the grid Monome to computer-free modular, and have played over 1,000+ shows on 6 continents at events ranging from Boilerroom to festival mainstages such as Coachella.

Dj at Dublab, founding faculty member for the Berklee College of Music's EDI (Electronic Digital Instrument) program, and S.E.T.I. artist in residence.
