A prolific & diverse artist in the mediums of writing, sound and music, Hong-Kong-born, Bristol-based gyrofield (Kiana Li) picks up the controls on NTS for their debut radio residency. Their arrival to the Drum & Bass scene was an anomaly, a completely self-made artist reaching far into a disparate dance music community. Far before that though, a steady stream of DIY electronic productions had been coming out under the gyrofield moniker, ranging from glitch to ambient techno to dubstep. 
With these 6 broadcasts she aims to reconcile all parts of her musical history & understanding, shedding light on back catalogues and upcoming material alike while also inviting special guests on curation duties.

Hidden Hass

Dublab.com has been the home to so much sound over a considerable number of years. I've hosted a program entitled Entropy Sessions throughout that time; allowing one show of wonderful expression in all-music, in all-idea. I don't state this in jest. This show is an easy example of a long ago but very diverse collection of programs Dublab associated, that explored what was current and/or quiet old - obscure. I'm so grateful to be able to share this messed up mix and would encourage any curious of this or indeed more to go thru Dublab's considerable archives and discover.

Restless is stacy--18 year-old producer from Portland, Oregon--his debut EP. The six track release features a collaboration with Potholes Music producer, Black Noi$e (World's Fair, Boldy James, Roc Marciano) and a jarring remix of Alexander Spit's "Facemelter". Stacy is an up-and-coming producer with projects in the works with San Jose emcee, Main Attactionz affiliate, Antwon and Alexander Spit. 

The EP is a combination of well-placed percussion elements (clicks, shakes, delayed snares)  and atmospheric environments. His sound is reminiscent of Bruiser Brigade's skywlkr, Black Noi$e, Keyboard Kid and Nem270. With a unique 'cloud rap' sound stacy is sure to be an artist we'll be hearing associated with some of our favorite artists.

Under the alias Daedelus, Alfred Darlington has been an instigator of electronic music culture for the past 20+ years. A fore-figure of Los Angeles' Beat Scene they have released over 20+ LPs, countless EPs, remixes, and additional productions on labels such as Ninja Tune, WARP, Brainfeeder, and more. As a performer they're synonymous with controllers, from the Monome to computer-free modular, and have played over 1,000+ shows on 6 continents at venues ranging from the underground Low End Theory to festival mainstages such as Coachella.

Dj at Dublab, founding faculty member for the Berklee College of Music's EDI (Electronic Digital Instrument) program, and S.E.T.I. artist in residence.

Daedelus has begun to live up to their Greek mythological namesake.
