Born and raised on the southside of Chicago, in the "Wild 100's", Craig Steven Coleman was surrounded by a loving family. Most of whom were very talented in writing poetry and music. He grew up listening to the very best of R&B/soul, and hip-hop, but as he got older, he explored into other genres likes pop, rock, indie, and dance/eletronic. He had his first experence making music at the age of 11, when did a rap performance with his then best friend. After the performance, he felt like it was his destiny to be an musical artist. He doesnt bind himself to one genre, he freely writes what his heart desires and tries to be as creative as possible. He has his own original swag but he also studies artists who influence him which include: Miguel, Keri Hilson, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Rihanna, Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, and Smokie Robinson...just to name a few. He always aims to write the truest, purest, honest, colorful, yet catchy and melodic lyrics that will create a vivid picture in the minds of the listeners.
