This composition was inspired by the poem "Day is Done" by the American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882).  

Day is Done

The day is done, and the darkness 
Falls from the wings of Night, 
As a feather is wafted downward 
From an eagle in his flight. 

I see the lights of the village 
Gleam through the rain and the mist, 
And a feeling of sadness comes o'er me 
That my soul cannot resist:

Day is Done

I was a huge fan of Obscura and when the musicians from that band decided to make Obsidious I was more than intrigued to see what they would do. I purchased the official backing tracks and decided to share my guitars replacing the amazingly talented Rafael Trujilo.

The vocals are handled by Javi Perera, bass by Linus Klausenitzer and drums by Sebastian Lanser.

Devotion

For Piano Day 2023 my improvisation from tonight. I had to wait until I had the right level of concentration to say something through the music. The title " an infinite journey " is the one that we all should travel during our life , in which we run , sometimes we slow down , and we should stop to think , to deepen our knowledge of ourselves and our condition .... all we should do this! The song is dedicated to Franco Battiato, a person who has already done this type of journey and has left us an immense legacy not only artistic. Happy Piano Day everyone!

Hazy Days

The compositions from opus one, are actually bits and pieces from childhood; tunes I made from 8 to 13, somewhat evolved. Puberty had gotten me interested in other things, leaving the piano untouched for a while, but at age 18, my mother, who had given me the piano, had kept on trying to motivate me to start playing again. So I did.  At age 19, when my mother died (age 44), I was compelled to make themes from childhood into two pieces, that I would play (and have played) at her funeral. All contain themes I knew she'd appreciate, staring down at us.
