It’s difficult for people to escape doubt. No matter how good things may seem at any point in our lives, there are always moments of concern, of counter-thought and worry that lurk in the shadows of our imagination. Few things are without blemish and most of us can be unforgiving in the presence of imperfection. Thus, the shadows and the darkness that seeks to stifle the light.

Emotional stratosphere

Its a slow album in development but heres the 2nd track of Intonarumori Duets with the wonderful AEP interpreting the Italian classic  Sì Viaggiare. The Intonarumori on this occasion is being played in a kind of pizzicato manner. Full album out sometime next year as this project is fitting in around other bigger projects. War and destruction…
We are given such a daily dose 
Of horror news 
That we loose 
The capacity for outrage and revolt. 
We become numb 
And also threaten to loose 
The abilities we need 
To have empathy.

The more drastic the images 
We are presented with, 
The faster we forget

This is a facet of the "dialectic of enlightenment" 
That is far too little considered:
The more clearly 
Barbarism can be seen, 
The faster 
We forget it. 
News had a greater impact on us 
When we only heard or read it. 
The images of it arose 
In our minds 
And then occupied us more than one time
