EMO CRINGE SET

During the preparations for my annual readings, I decided to make them special this year.

Reflecting on the psychoacoustics of prayer practice - how timbres, intonations, content, and the non-verbal aspects of the practitioner affect both themselves and those who hear the prayer - I recorded a three-part invocation as separate tracks in different acoustic variations to create a sound collage.

The recording was done using the Sony PCM-D100, and then the readings were transferred to the 
S-4 sampler from Torso Electronics. The arrangement and mixing were completed in a DAW.
