This piece is from Bilqis' 6th module at university. The aim was to create  stop frame animation inspired by the book Don't Look Now by Daphne du Maurier. Her inspiration rooted from the story of self realisation and had elements of clairvoyance and the exploration of levels which came through the understanding of grief in the movie. This led to her creating a piece of music to accompany the animation which is what has been uploaded. This was integral to her project as it developed into a study of the unconscious, conscious and subconscious mind and how it could be physically manifested into spaces within a building with the intention to experiment ways in which we can explore and develop the levels of the mind.
Bilqis is my daughter. She painted this musical piece at an incredibly fast pace using software on my computer. All I did was listen, tweak a bit, then upload to soundcloud! She got married a few days ago,and this upload was my parting gift to her. Photograph- Bilqis and father day before her marriage.
