Waves exist and affect us in every sense, every motion, every angle. Ouhana shapes them to such great affect, that his first release  on Random Collective was destined to called Waves. All three tracks make exceptional use of this theme, with a power,  subtlety and drama  you can liken to an ever-changing seashore. The energy shifts so boldly, with such great flow and ease , a truly riveting acoustic experience.

OX took the title track in a totally different direction, with an intense punch and step straight out of a chase scene. Nathan Hall went full aural assault as usual building on the original parts for a deep and trippy reimagined version of Rising Tides.

Premiere: Ouhana, Urem — Rising Tides (Nathan Hall Remix) [Random Collective Records]

At the start of the new year we present you the EP "Birdhouse" from our Mexican friends @ykonosh & @mundaimusica. Their unmistakable sound impressed us from the very first minute and we are very pleased to collaborate again.

The release consists of two original tracks, which stand out due to their characteristic vocals and their bouncy groove structure. The tracks are rounded off by exciting remixes from the hands of @coss, @amorati-music, @omeriamusic and @danielhokum. As always, the artwork was contributed by our graphic magician Kilian Van de Water and the mastering was done by Haunted Water.

We wish everybody a good and healthy start into the new year and look forward to everything new that is to come.

Sometimes we stumble across artists where we know from the first note that they are a perfect match for our sound. One of these artists is @bawabmusic. That's why we're more than happy to release the new EP from the likeable, talented young man from Ventura, California today.

The result are 5 extremely groovy tracks, which are all different, but transport the same vibe. We are so enthusiastic about the tracks that we want to take this opportunity to announce that a remix EP will follow as well soon.

As always, we've worked hard to bring you a mix of emerging new artists alongside some seasoned veterans who have yet to be featured on our compilations. The soundscape spans from fresh, summery open-air vibes to driving beats perfect for the night, once again showcasing the incredible diversity of our favorite genre.

Let’s start 2025 with gingembre's first album, “Human Traces” — an inquiry into what it means to be a human.

Each of the 11 tracks was produced reflecting on the complexity of existence. From “There is No Spoon”, a nod to The Matrix and our self-created realities, to “Fragments of the Self”, inviting the listener to reflect on their own inner world.

While the album acknowledges the presence of melancholia and darkness, its overarching tone leans towards hope and bliss — an uplifting reminder of the beauty found in our shared struggles and triumphs.

Skarú brings us our next release. What I Want is a gently grooving and somewhat bouncy downtempo track that reminds us of the origins of our burgeoning love of slow music, while To Forget mesmerises us with melodically fractured elements.

Iorie takes the tempo down a notch and focusses a little more on the rhythm and mellow mood of What I Want.

LYBA takes the melodic tone of To Forget and gives us a slightly more danceable version for dreamy moments on the dance floor.
