'blank': Space #1 was created for an almost completely dark space which visitors entered with the soundscape in their headphones. 
The work, originally 16 min long, was looped and composed to indicate an erasure of the given space of the gallery and stretch out as a landscape, impossible to fixate size-wise. In the darkness and through sounds of movement, the listeners were lead to relate to the possible surroundings through audible observation solely.

'blank': Space #1 (Excerpts)

‘blank’: Space #2 is a site-specific audio walk made for and presented at Suomenlinna Island (Helsinki, Finland), complemented by a short text. Visitors are invited to bring a pair of headphones outside to start the walk, from where one can choose one's own route and for how long to walk.

Aski Dahl & Jiska Huizing have collaborated since 2014. They work with soundscapes, site-specific audio installations and audio walks, based on their shared interest in the connections between sound, space and perception.
