TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ DAHRAXT

DAHRAXT is the techno project of the electronic music artist Alessandro Mannella ( formerly known as Mannella ).
Italian-born and Berlin-adopted, he expresses his multi-faceted talent producing music, DJing and performing live. Apart from being heavily influenced by the UK techno sound, DAHRAXT's musical narratives oscillate between industrial techno and distorted electro soundscapes, all the way to the more mental techno textures. Moving at a young age to Ibiza, he crafted his DJ mixing skills performing regularly at important venues like Space and throwing illegal parties around the island. Not long after, he moved to Berlin and immediately caught the attention of many, playing at the iconic Tresor basement and shaking the dancefloors of other major clubs such as About Blank, Arena and Suicide Circus, as well as hosting events at the former Griessmühle. Eventually, as one of the founders of the multidisciplinary event project ENIGMA, he brought a brand-new event concept at Tresor Club.
Besides Germany, DAHRAXT has made appearances at other influential venues across Europe such as Gare (Porto) and FOLD (London) among others. Touring overseas and taking part in the underground festival circuit, DAHRAXT has performed with the likes of Ancient Methods, Ben Klock, Detroit Techno Militia, Nene H, New Frames, Tommy Four Seven, Scan7, Sunil Sharpe and many more. 
His unmatched dexterity in bringing the crowd into his own visionary trip and the intensity of his DJ sets allowed him to also gain a residency at the techno party Vocoder in Mexico City (2018) and most recently at ARIA, London.
As a long-time vinyl collector and supporter, in 2015 DAHRAXT founded two record labels: “Jtseries”, (a techno dancefloor-oriented imprint) and “PicNic34” (having a more experimental direction). On those, he has collaborated with Blawan, Cristian Vogel, Charlton, Kucera, Santiago Salazar, Tobias, Vladislav Delay and VSK to name a few. With an arsenal of music ready to hit some of the most important music platforms out there, DAHRAXT’s ever mind-expanding DJ and studio experiments are bound to be experienced by many.

A surprising collaboration between Mannella and the UK Techno’s bearer - Blawan- that clearly establish a deep Techno-Space, where the quirky sounds are free to be developed and created.
Right from the very first second of “The Dark Breeze”, which spreads a fluid, echoing and fickle synth, we can hear those “fuzzy noises” that Mannella loves to use. A perfect combo is given by the presence of intense drums, thorough pads and harped synths: a total head-trip that flows in the whole EP.
Then, with “I know you are” a cheerful air gain the upper hand, leading it to be the perfect dance floor track.
Even if it’s just the second release, it’s pretty explicit the aim that the label has come to play in music today.

After the previous collaborations with Blawan and Lucretio & Marieu (aka The Analogue Cops), Mannella is back with his first solo work "Nebula Viator". There’s no definitive recipe for his individual productions, but you can usually expect varying amounts of evolving pads, nostalgic rhythm and structured drums change that give to his productions a rich hot surge.
In this four track EP Mannella is going back to his roots and main influences, showing us how essential is for him shaping them into his latest feeling: swaggering techno tracks powered by sleek house chords.
Nebula Viator is a 24minutes EP crammed with slamming and chubby grooves set against a sprawling astral substrate.

Mannella brings a rousing 12’’ EP, enclosing a Sunil Sharpe’s remix done with the forthright purpose of make you go ape.
The original mix of “Nibiru Road” is a ever-changing techno story, told by a steady groove and such a badass kick-drum. A vitalizing ebb & flow of that rubbery synth and that melodic, a bit saturnine pad, that let you fly to the next Planet.
“Fourth Dimension” has been recorded from one of the Live performance that Mannella is doing under DAHRAXT alias. The hypnotic bubbly atmosphere created around that chopped pad, delivers this track to another dimension of delight, giving it a unexpected slant.
Sunil Sharpe doesn’t need introduction, since his multiple releases on imprints such Black Sun Records, Komisch, Inner Surface, Trensmat, Violet Poison, MORD, Sheworks or his own Earwiggle to name a few, have made him the well appreciated artist that today he’s.
