Steyoyoke welcomes Oliver Schories with the latest EP, 'Time Lapse'. The self-titled album includes an original by Oliver Schories, and two remixes; Pete Oak's twisted take, and Steyoyoke veterans Aaryon and Animal Picnic appealing approach to 'Time Lapse'. 

Oliver Schories has composed a climatic conversational piece with 'Time Lapse'. A simultaneously dark and bubbly track, the bass line is accompanied by dangerous melodies and mysteriously enticing vocals. Like running through a dream, Oliver Schories has successfully given his music that ethereal touch, certainly making himself sound at home.

Pete Oak's remix of 'Time Lapse' takes the vocals apart and sets them back together in an alluring manner. Pete Oak includes his own emotive reflection, producing a high-energy remix with piercing synths and hypnotic aural teasers. Complexly winsome music, Pete Oak also makes his way on Steyoyoke with this killer remix. 

Aaryon and Animal Picnic approached the task by toning down the original 'Time Lapse', focusing initially on more simple elements behind the track and using musical contrast to make the vocals and synths stand out. A deep and cryptic remix, Aaryon and Animal Picnic have managed to include their individual strengths within this piece.

'Time Lapse' is another gem to add to the Steyoyoke treasure box, embracing Oliver Schories to the roster of artists who have found Steyoyoke to be a suitable home for their creations. Pete Oak returns to SVT with a three piece EP chock full of murky melodies and introspective compositions. Kicking off the endeavor with Celsius, Oak reveals his penchant for soulful and emotive soundscapes early on. The first track unfolds as a slow paced ascending piece, ridden with scintillating bits and synths subtly winding up the entire groove. The outcome is a tense dancefloor cut with a spectral, ethereal appeal. Noctua takes off full energy from the get go, setting a gloomy mood by layering dense synths over a punchy bassline. Heavy distortion follows the break off, offering a striking release that goes to a full dramatic stop.

Similarly dynamic, yet with a completely different take on the up-tempo groove, Yama plays on assorted arrays of synths. Evoking a stirring atmosphere through timely crafted symmetries, it offers up a fitting, unwinding final track for the EP.

Spanish label Sincopat calls on Avantroots and Seven Villas founder Pablo Boliver to remix on the latest release on the imprint, reworking a track from the recent Piek LP. Barcelona-based producer Boliver puts his magic touch to 'That's Me', which features the vocal tones of Jim Hast.

Speaking with When We Dip, Pablo explained "Nacho (Piek) sent me his upcoming album around a year ago, I was really impressed, listening it on heavy rotation: the production, the voices...impeccable. Some months ago he asked me to do a remix of one of the tracks, "no doubt bro, it's a pleasure". I love to remix tracks that have an important vocal work, and Jim Hast does so on "THAT’S ME’, I enjoyed every second working on this remix!"
