Berlin native and Rubisco label head Nick Beringer lays down some serious rolling beat science for Mosaic’s 5th LTDX edition. T
he EP kicks off in style in the shape of ‘Intercity’: straddling a square 4/4 house rhythm with an ‘Art of Trance’ spirit – all brought together in contemporary style. Layers of subtly filtered melody pulsate their way throughout, rising and falling as minimal elements collide for maximal sonic impact.

Switching to more familiar territory, ‘Time Shift’ reins things back a notch as tight 909 beats swing to well rounded bottom end, carrying the warm layers of evolving synths and chorded elements with precision effect. 

Ending on the introspective mood of ‘Counterclockwise’, Beringer displays an even defter touch, heralding the light fantastic as the spectre of night passes by.

Renowned live artist and Premiesku member Floog delivers four shimmering microhouse cuts on Archie Hamilton’s Moscow Records this September.

Hailing from the vibrantly active house and techno scene of Romania, Floog has established himself as one of the country’s most distinguished artists with releases on labels like Mulen Records, Atipic, Joule and MEOKO. One third of the Premiesku group alongside Livio & Roby, he has specialised in capturing the infectious rhythm of drum machines and analogue synths with regular support from Apollonia, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh, Priku, Sonja Moonear, and many more.

‘The Gathering’ kick starts the release with layered claps, a low-end analogue hook and tantalising high stabs, before ‘Balance Right’ continues his signature minimal aesthetic with sparkling bleeps, sweeping vocals and a catchy synth loop. On the flip ‘Amiba Ta’ gives an eerie feel whilst tight drums lock in the groove, until finally ‘Sepe Patru’ closes the package with decayed voices, bouncing side-chained bass and saturated snare layers.

Dailycid label hits double figures in real style with a new Various Artists EP that draws together four fantastic talents for four fantastic new tracks, carefully selected by the label. 

Litmus opens things with the excellent 'All Clear Baby', a brisk house track with spanking hits and brain numbing sub bass down low. Trippy effects and synth droplets make it a dynamic and characterful tune that keeps you on your toes. Basic Human Tastes's 'Tunnel' is a silky seven minute deep house trip with swirling pads and kinetic drum programming making it work on both body and soul. 

Rigzz & Saenz - 'Those And Those' is a minimal house track with stripped back rubbery drums and watery synths that sink you into a state of hypnosis and keep you there. Last of all, Nekow's 'Mimas' is another deep and dubby masterclass with liquid chords and vocal snippets that are cool and classy. 

This is a fantastic 10th Ep from the ever growing label.
