My thought behind this mix is to approach the audience as travelers and take them with me on a little trip of 20min through my world. A world with productions that inspired me, mixed with some of my own productions. My vision on music is beyond just a sound, it’s about the journey, as I’m always on a journey looking for new sound experiences.

Being a producer/DJ from Amsterdam made me realize the standards for DJ's in Amsterdam are set extremely high. But this is a good thing for me because, whenever I tend to be lazy about preparing my set I know I can't because I have to be on my A-game at all times. My heritage had a lot of influence on my music vision; From Caribbean music to funk, it was all introduced to me at a young age. That's why in this mix I picked a selection of fresh and exclusive tracks from both myself and also many other international producers whom I really admire for their personal sound.

When I created this mix, I was having a discussion through my song selection about being "Love Sick." Whether it is rekindling a flame, finding new love, or reflecting on a lost love...we all have of these moments of being love sick. I want to say I made this mix at 1:30 am with a glass of wine… haha I was having a moment.
When I think of heritage I think of my roots and my origin. With that being said, I always tap into the sounds that are familiar to me or the sounds that I grew up on. Growing up my mom played a lot of Portuguese, African, and Soul music. My dad played a lot reggae and soca...there are specific melodies and drums that speak to my heart in regards to the music that I love to listen to and play. I would say it is a result of my heritage.

the start of his promising career. The very talented Jengi Beats signed to Sony Publishing not long a go after he joined the KLEAR agency.

For this mixtape we collaborated with @this_is_triangle. An indoor festival based in Rotterdam the Netherlands. One of their resident DJ's HEAZ was pushed forward to curate and mix this tape.

HEAZ started as a B-boy in his younger years before he wanted to show his passion for music as a dj. With his knowledge of the music he experienced, he can go from hiphop/r&b to funk and disco with a soulful touch. 

“I wanted to express my Moluccan descent in this mix. At family parties back in the days, there was always a live band that plays a lot of funk and disco songs. And for in a time we live now, I want to show how much good vibrations the funk from this era gives to people.”

Based in Kassel/Germany Sapato is a sneaker & streetwear retail store. With its roots not only in fashion but also in music they decided to bring the "Sapato Soundsystem" to life. DJ Drxzz & Josh Feder both born and raised in the 90s grown up with a big influence of HipHop music. Now they represent a mix of their hiphop roots and new contemporary styles such as futurebeats and edmtrap.

"We Love the fact that everywhere you go there is a different taste and understanding of music. This is why our inspiration lies everywhere we go. In the people we meet, the places we see and the music we hear.
