“Eugenia is a DJ and poet grown up between the Bay Area and northern Italy, and as of recently, based out of Boston. The SF/Oakland queer underground dance music scene formed her as an artist, where she cut her teeth playing several clubs & organizing DIY events. She would loosely describe her style as bright, emotive, with a signature touch of sass --  jumping across many genres, from pure ambient to breaks to jungle -- to wrap it all up in a textured, lush atmosphere punctuated with tender moments. This mix touches on the headier, bass-driven, rhythmic side of her sound. “

Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: Play the music that lifts you up and it's going to lift up other people. Have a personal hype song or 2. i.e. If I get anxious for some reason before or mid-set, I'll often whip out Chaka Khan's "I Feel For You" to lift me out of that weird place of self doubt. Self doubt is the enemy.
