With this mix Heidi asks to please learn more about and consider donating to: I would love to highlight a new initiative called Synth Library NYC that I am helping to launch, together with the talented Brooklyn sound artist Cy X.  Synth Library NYC will open in May 2021 as a community education and music hub providing access to synthesizers, modular gear, recording equipment and other electronic musical instruments for people of all experience levels with priority access to BIPOC and those of marginalized genders.  Individuals will be able to ‘check-out’ an instrument and take it home for 3 weeks, just like one would borrow a book from the public library. Synth Library NYC also plans to have virtual and in-person workshops, synth meet ups, collaborative performances and other engagement activities to foster connection and help encourage those with less experience. We are grateful to be consulting with the founders of Fem Synth Lab in Los Angeles who have paved the way in this concept of community building, and Powrplnt, a network of Brooklyn artists dedicated to providing equal access to digital arts education, where we are currently residents. De vuelta con ESPECTRO y esta vez traemos a Ron Like Hell. Acercándose a las sesiones de DJ como si fuera un ensamblaje, Ron Like Hell alinea el sonido con la emoción, enfocándose en las texturas para crear paisajes sonoros psicodélicos y espacios imaginativos que generen comodidad, sorprendiendo a los oyentes con la próxima transición ingeniosa e inesperada. Con más de 25 años a sus espaldas haciendo bailar a las personas en numerosas pistas del mundo y siendo un ávido comprador de discos, su papel en la escena es único e influyente. Como si fuera poco, es la mitad de WRECKED, una de las primeras fiestas queer norteamericanas que recientemente cumplió 10 años. 

Para esta sesión, quiso amplificar el trabajo creativo de productores que se identifican o apoyan el movimiento queer, inspirándose al mismo tiempo de diferentes sets que han sido anteriormente parte de la serie ESPECTRO. A DJ, writer, designer, and event organizer, Lychee runs Spontaneous Affinity, a monthly mix and interview series, annual zine, and occasional event platform focused on how dancefloors have shaped artists. Currently based in Brooklyn, they grew up as a DJ and frequent dancefloor inhabitant in the clubs, backyards, and basements of Boston. NYC-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Heidi Sabertooth has a serious love for hardware. Grit-laced drum loops, vintage acid and a tide of unruly sound clatters forth from
her studio. She's been creating her unique brand of electronics since 2012, pushing out beautiful noise, from the delicate to the jarring. She is resident of NYC-based Lost Soul Enterprises, host on The Lot Radio and curator of Bossa Nova Civic Club’s Techno Support Group party. Her highly lauded live hardware performances and vinyl-heavy dj sets have cemented her own place among NYC’s techno community and beyond. Today, we’re traveling to Detroit and connecting with iconic DJ and producer DJ Stingray. Stingray’s Unsung choice is Keith Tucker, the Detroit producer and co-founder of Aux 88, whose alias’ include DJ K-1, Optic Nerve and Alien FM. Tucker played an integral part in the story of Detroit techno, yet his story and influence remains unknown to many.&nbsp;
