For the 95th entry in the Honcho Podcast Series, we welcome @livwutang! Denver-raised, Seattle-honed, DJ livwutang stews together atmospheric soundscapes and bubbly instrumentation that could soundtrack a smoke-filled lounge, or a walk home under the cover of night.

After getting her start spinning on pirate radio, livwutang has been a regular curator and feature at local parties in her area. Her prolific grind and playful mixes earned her a spot as a resident of a room in one of Seattle's premier clubs.

Influences: I’ve been greatly influenced by local music festivals and the YouTube rabbit hole :) A transformative moment for me was seeing Octo Octa tear up the decks at Piknic Electronik in 2019. I felt like I had tapped into something... like a musical collective consciousness - the rhythms were just so familiar and grounding. Since then, I’ve been incredibly drawn to the 90s and their irreplicable energy  as well as to some more recent house producers. I think the real influence though is just the sounds and the way they move me.
 
Affiliations/Residencies/Projects: Just doing my own thing at the moment, but working on some projects that I hope to share soon!
