What do you get when you take two female producer-artists who are unapologetically independent and let them produce their own E.P.? Magic Boys.

Nancy Magarill has “pretty big girl balls,” according to one reviewer, and April White has been likened to both a “softcore” and “hardcore” Peaches. Both artists are classically trained musician who fluctuate gracefully between tender and fiery sounds that diverge from the ordinary.

Magic Boys’ debut E.P., “We Are,” is a cinematic, downtempo electronic trip into a surreal setting reminiscent of early Massive Attack and Portishead, and score-ready for a 2014 Fernando Meirelles film.
